Singapore hosted the customised course on “Strategic Planning for Ports” for Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Member States, organised under the Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP), from 29 January to 2 February 2018. 19 participants from 13 IORA Member States attended the five-day course to learn how the port of Singapore continues to play a significant role in Singapore’s economic development. Beyond classroom lectures and discussions, participants also made site visits to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Operations Control Centre and Integrated Simulation Centre, as well as to PSA Container Terminals.
